FAQ > Why can't I have someone in my family who is very handy or a contractor, inspect my new home?
Education and experience. An ASHI (American Society Of Home Inspectors) certified Home Inspector will instinctively find issues that a contractor or “handy man” may not be looking for or may overlook. Inspectors are trained to observe conditions that are suspect and take into consideration the home and its systems as a whole. Much like when a doctor takes into consideration all the symptoms in order to proceed with a diagnosis. Many contractors, and other trades professionals hire a professional home inspector to inspect their own homes when they make a purchase.
